Outside a mosque in Istanbul

Outside every mosque, is an area with faucets where you can properly wash your feet and face before entering. I almost always saw members of the Muslim community at these faucets before prayer time while walking throughout the city. Seeing these rituals gave me the opportunity to experience the community from the outside looking in.  Such a great feeling!
